Here are some questions that we think you should consider asking as you look for the perfect venue for your wedding, birthday party or social gathering.

How many people can the Bliss Room Seat?
The fire code allow the Bliss Room to accommodate 175, but it seats 150 comfortably.
Does the rental fee include tables & chairs? The rental fee includes brown padded folding chairs and tables - please note, it does NOT include linens or tableware. 
What is included in the kitchen area? The museum has a prep kitchen and is included in the rental fee. It is a prep area only - this includes an oven for warming, 2 microwaves and a refrigerator. There is no cooking allowed per regulations - only warming and boiling water.  
Are there other uses for The Bliss Room? Yes of course. Some other types of events we can accommodate are arts performances, rehearsal dinners, business meetings, private parties, public meetings or presentations, engagement parties, and so on! 
Are there areas on-site to hold a wedding ceremony? The Bliss Room can be arranged to accommodate the ceremony-as well as the reception. There is no separate area within the museum for a ceremony, however, Taylor Park is located directly across the street and is beautiful for an outdoor ceremony. 
Do you have a bar? Can you serve food? The Museum does not provide catering or bar service, but we can certainly assist you in finding a local vendor.
Is The Bliss Room equipped with heating or air conditioning? Yes, both heating & air conditioning are available year-round.
How long do we have the space for? Rental fee includes access for use by vendors/renters for set-up/event/clean-up time. Additional time is available on the same day at a discounted price if contracted prior to the event. Overages  from the contract is billable at the standard rate.
Is the Bliss Room an inclusive venue? Yes, we honor all couples and families. 
Are there any additional features that you offer that set you apart from others? The Bliss Room has historical ambiance, ample free parking, and is also fully accessible.
Where are you located? Our one-of-a-kind location is found at 9 Church St. in downtown St. Albans, Vermont.
What about our out-of-town guests; are there local lodging options? Out-of-town guests may contact the Back Inn Time Bed and Breakfast (802-527-5115 - within walking distance), the Hampton Inn (802528-5020 - within walking distance) or the La Quinta Inn (802-524-3300) for accommodations. You can find additional information and resources for local services here.
How far in advance should the space be reserved? For weddings, the space should be reserved at least 3-6 months in advance for the best selection of dates, however, it is possible to accommodate events on a shorter notice.
What is the payment schedule for reserving a date at The Bliss Room? A 50%  deposit is required at the time of reservation. The balance is due 30 days prior to the event.
Must we use The Bliss Room's recommended vendors? Recommended vendors should be used due to familiarity with our space as well as valid licensing and insurance.  We are able to consider vendors not currently listed with at least 3 months advance notice, as well as the proper permits and insurance for catering and liquor providers.
Can alcohol be served at The Bliss Room? Alcohol served by a licensed and insured provider is permitted.

Additional Information:
Pets are generally not allowed in the Bliss Room but we will work with wedding couples if their pets are to be part of the ceremony.

The Museum has a state of the art presentation system that is available for use, including large screen projector system which can run DVD or computer presentations. Renter should supply their own laptop but the museum provides all the connections to the system.
